BBC Two launched a new look on Thursday 27th September 2018. The new look saw the end of the iconic “2” symbol which has appeared in various incarnations for 27 years.
In its place comes a series of colourful visualisations based on a simple curve, which the controller of BBC Two Patrick Holland said represented the channel’s “constant evolution, constant eclecticism, constant sense of quality”. It is also easier to rework and cheaper to create than the old branding.
