The European version of TNT was launched 17 September 1993 and time shared with Cartoon Network, broadcasting between 7pm and 6am. TNT was exclusively dedicated to movies, mainly from the MGM and Warner Bros archives. On 2 September 1996 TNT was revised to broadcast between 9pm – 5am.

In September 1999 TNT became TCM, whereas TNT was kept on Astra 1/Sky Analogue and on Analogue Cable, this version was more akin to the US version, of more entertainment programmes. The channel closed down nightly at 1.00am UK time before handing back to Cartoon Network, By the summer 2000 the channel was closed for good.
