On 4 June 2008, Euronews redesigned its logo and on-air presentation – the station’s website also received an update. Trasmission in widescreen finally began, however in the UK this appears as letterboxed 14:9, allowing some space at the bottom of the screen to overlay a breaking news ticker when needed, without disturbing the full imageture.
News headlines are run at :00 and :30 past each hour, with sport and markets news usually following straight after. Global and Europe weather forecasts close each half hour, at approximately :57 past. In between the news/sport/markets and the weather forecasts, various subject-specific programmes are shown on a rotating basis.
